Over the last decade, the consequences of austerity have pushed UK households into debt, food banks and homelessness. The prevalence of low paid jobs, high housing costs and an eroding welfare state has left the most vulnerable in society living without the very basics.
Turn2Us set us the challenge to create an identity for their new #LivingWithout campaign created to highlight and tackle the exponentially growing appliance poverty across the country.
We crafted a logo comprised of a simple wordmark and an icon that could be used as an entity in itself. The icon when used as a standalone device acts as a focal point that can be used to draw attention to the effects of appliance poverty. Adopting the Turn2Us colour palette and typeface, we felt it best to maintain a strong link to the overarching Turn2Us brand to help collateral form a coherent message. We also produced the #LivingWithout report that presents significant research that has been carried out over the recent years on the different elements of poverty, a poverty that Turn2Us believe is one of the most shameful facing modern British society.
