Serpentine Gallery Annual Review 2018-19

Background
The Serpentine Galleries comprise of two contemporary art galleries based either side of the Serpentine, Hyde Park. Throughout the year the galleries host contemporary art exhibitions, live events and education programmes, as well as outdoor sculptures and annual architectural commissions.

Brief
RF Design have designed the Serpentine Galleries Annual Review since the 2016–17 publication. The 2018–19 review is an evolution of the previous year’s design, with the addition of a new typeface to the Serpentine brand.

Result
Generous pagination allowed us to deliver space in the layout reflective of the galleries, allowing the exhibition artwork to be the main focal point and take centre stage. The colour palette in contrast to the photography is pared back and accented with the galleries colour of the season – teal.
